5.6 magnitude earthquake hits Eastern India including Bihar, Assam, West Bengal
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit various parts of Bihar, West Bengal and Assam on Wednesday morning. The tremors were felt in Bihar’s Begusaria, Kishanganj and Sahebganj. In West Bengal tremors were felt in Siliguri, Malda and Jalpaiguri. As soon as the tremors were felt, people started running out of their houses. The quake reportedly lasted for around 25-30 seconds. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
