51 die due to lightning in Bihar and Jharkhand
At least 51 people were killed and nine others injured in lightning strikes in Bihar and Jharkhand, police said on Wednesday.
Altogether 39 people have died across a dozen districts of Bihar, while 12 others lost their lives in four districts of Jharkhand.
The deaths were reported since Tuesday night.
Three persons have suffered injuries on being struck by lightning in Bhagalpur, while the number of wounded was one each in Banka and Jamui districts, the department added.
