In a major victory to security forces, they were able to kill Hizbul commander Riyaz Naikoo during a gunfight with militants. Naikoo was hidden in a bunker located below a house. The security forces used a JCB machine to dig the bunker and then they were able to eliminate Naikoo. He used to inspire the youth in the valley to join militancy.
