The Karanataka Government has launched its web portal "Seva Sindhu" which requires everybody traveling from various places to Karnataka, and vis à vis to obtain an E Pass that will be provided to them after a registration and the request has been approved. This applies to people traveling within the districts of Karnataka from business and other purposes. On May 18, requests from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujrat had been "temporarily stalled". State wise 67,518 return request from Maharashtra alone, had been made. These are mainly travel requests to Bangalore and nearby urban areas from other parts of the country where people have been stranded. Further, a statement by the government also revealed that the people travelling from the 6 cities need to observe a 14-day quarantine divided into 7 days of institutional quarantine and 7 days of home quarantine.
