Delhi Polls: AAP, BJP target each other over Shaheen Bagh | Namaste Bharat

The campaign for February 8 Delhi Assembly election has reached its crescendo with stalwarts from the BJP, the AAP and the Congress launching a no-holds-barred attack on rivals on issues like anti-CAA protest at Shaheen Bagh and performance of the Kejriwal government. Although Kejriwal has been trying to keep the poll narrative away from the CAA and Shaheen Bagh, the same has been aggressively picked up by BJP leaders.

Addressing an election rally at Karkardooma in east Delhi, Modi said the spurt in protests in areas like Shaheen Bagh, Seelampur and Jamia were not just co-incidences. "The agitation should have ended after the government assurance (on CAA). Attention is being diverted from the real conspiracy. If this plot grows, they can jam any road, any street in Delhi," the Prime Minister said.

The AAP, on the other hand, has raised questions over Election Commission's silence on BJP leaders for their alleged objectionable remarks against Kejriwal and the party. AAP leader Sanjay Singh even said that the BJP does not have any issue to raise in the Delhi assembly election and was trying to defer the polls.
