In a piece of recent news, an FIR has been filed against SP leader Ummed Pahalwan in connection with the assault case of an elderly man. The politician was the same man, who accompanied the victim, Sufi Abdul Samad Saifi, to the police station to file a case. According to reports, after the intervention of Pehalwan communal angle was given to the matter. A total of five accused who assaulted Samad has been arrested.
