This was the first high-level face-to-face meeting on both sides since the border tension in eastern Ladakh in May. Actually, there is a situation of deadlock between the soldiers of India and China in many places in the eastern Ladakh region for four months. Five days earlier, China unsuccessfully tried to occupy Indian territory in the southern coastal area of Pangong Lake, after which tensions escalated.
