After Elon Musk closed the $44 billion acquisition deal of the microblogging site Twitter and announced a subscription fee for users who want to keep the blue verified badge on their profiles, internet has been inundated with several humorous memes. Food delivery app Zomato also joined the discussion and shared a tweet asking Musk to make a bargain.

The tweet since being shared on Thursday by Zomato, has gained over 9,000 likes. The comments box has also been flooded with reactions from Twitter users.
One of the user wrote, "Let me check with my friends who shop at GK M block market if they can bargain with Elon to bring it down even more."

Meanwhile, the social media company has announced to begin layoffs on Friday. In an email to its staff the company said that it will begin layoffs and alert employees by 9 a.m. Pacific time on Friday (12 p.m. EDT/1600 GMT), as reported by Reuters.
