WATCH: UP Cop Disguises Herself, Fakes Robbery Complaint To Check Response Time Of Police

An IPS officer from Uttar Pradesh's Auiraiya disguised herself and dialed an emergency number with a fake complaint of armed robbery to test the local police and their response time to the emergency call.

The cops apparently passed the test, but the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the video shared by the Auraiya Police on the microblogging site Twitter, Charu Nigam, the Superintendent of Police of Auraiya district is seen wearing civilian clothes with sunglasses. She has also put on a mask and covered her face with a dupatta to avoid being recognised by her team.

“In order to check the response time and vigilance of the district police, Superintendent of Police Auraiya @ipsCharuNigam while hiding her identity, on the deserted road dialed 112 to give information of a fake robbery by armed people on a bike. The proceedings were satisfactory,” read the caption of the video shared on Twitter.

Since being shared on Twitter the clip has accumulated over 147k views and 1,300 likes.

One of the user after watching the video wrote, "Great initiative for checking response of Police.'

"Jai hind mam,,, bahot achha kam,,, kiya jayeja lene ke liye," wrote another.

While a third wrote, " I wish all the officers would do the same like her... Hats off to her for doing such work to check the alertness of police."

"Wow Great..!! Should be in whole country....," Wrote a fourth.
