Women for ages have been the symbol of sacrifice across the world, especially in the Indian society. However times have changed and women are being treated equal to men and accorded the same status. But a video has surfaced online in which  a wife is seen  sacrificing her food for her husband. The viral post has agitated many users who think it propagates the same old theory of women sacrificing for the family.

The video shared on Instagram by Timsy Jain opens to show a husband and a wife sitting at the dining table having food. Soon the husband asks for some rice after finishing his food. The wife opens the casserole but finds that there is nothing left. She then secretly scoops up some of her rice and keeps it in the casserole and serves it to her husband who does not pay attention to all this and is busy checking his phone.

Initially shared on Instagram, the video found its way to the microblogging site Twitter and has so far gained 13 million views. The video was not well appreciated for showing the women being the one to make the sacrifice.

"But this guy is busy on the phone he doesn't care at all Ignoring his wife's love n care for him," commented one user on the video.

But there is no point in having dinner together when he is so engrossed in a phone.
