Moo Deng, a viral baby hippo at Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo, has "predicted" the outcome of the 2024 US Presidential election by choosing a watermelon cake with Donald Trump's name on it.
Thailand's viral baby hippo at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi province has again created waves with her “prediction” of the outcome of the 2024 US Presidential elections. The Khao Kheow Open Zoo shared a video, featuring the four-month-old pygmy hippo, Moo Deng, choosing between two watermelon cakes. Each cake was labelled with a candidate’s name — Donald Trump on one and Vice-President Kamala Harris on the other. In a playful "prediction", Moo Deng selected the watermelon marked with Trump’s name.
The video quickly went viral, with netizens calling Moo Deng a "legend" and "smart".

Born on July 10, 2024, to hippo parents Tony and Jona, Moo Deng shot to fame online after her cute reactions to a bath were shared on X. Since then, the baby hippo has continued to capture hearts on both X and TikTok (banned in India). Many fans often use her animated expressions in memes.
Moo Deng's name, which literally means "bouncy pig", was chosen through an online poll. The Khao Kheow Open Zoo has seen a surge in visitors eager to meet Moo Deng, who has quickly become a symbol of charm and curiosity, drawing fans from around the world.
