Tirupati: Viral Video Of Woman Dancing To Pushpa 2's 'Kissik' Song On Tirumala Road Sparks Outrage

Amid the escalating backlash, the woman issued an apology through a social media video, expressing regret for her actions.

A video of a young woman dancing to a song from the newly released film Pushpa 2: The Rule near Tirumala’s Alipiri Gate has ignited widespread controversy. The clip, initially uploaded on Instagram, quickly went viral but soon drew criticism for being filmed in the vicinity of the sacred site.

Devotees expressed outrage, arguing that such activities compromise the sanctity of Tirumala, a revered pilgrimage destination. Many took to social media to demand action against the woman, accusing her of disrespecting the holy site for online popularity. Amid the escalating backlash, the woman issued an apology through a social media video, expressing regret for her actions.

This is the second time such an incident has been reported in Tirupati.

In recent months, Tirupati witnessed similar controversies involving social media influencers and public figures. A Tamil Nadu-based influencer faced criticism for a prank video filmed in the darshan queue for Lord Venkateswara. Additionally, a photoshoot by YSR Congress leader Divvela Madhuri on Tirumala’s Mada Streets sparked outrage, and actress Priyanka Jain stirred controversy with a video mimicking animal sounds while climbing the Tirumala steps.

Such episodes have raised concerns about preserving the sanctity of holy places in the age of social media, prompting devotees and authorities to call for stricter regulations.

Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has created a frenzy in Tollywood. It also caused unease and was marred by untoward incidents on the day of its release on Thursday. At a threatre in Hyderabad, a female fan died during the premier of the movie and her son suffered severe injuries after a stampede like situation in the wake of a surprise visit by the crew including Allu Arjun to the threatre. Later, Allu Arjun reportedly met the family of the victim at the hospital and assured his support for them.
