Times Square Lights Up For Mahashivratri With Sadhguru At Adiyogi, New Yorkers Groove To 'Har Har Mahadev'
Sadhguru said the world is realising the significance of the Great Night of Shiva, while sharing the video of the Times Square where New Yorkers were seen enjoying Mahashivratri.
It was an unusual sight at the famous Times Square in New York with chants of “Shiva” and “Shambho” on a busy Monday evening. As a video of Mahashivratri with Sadhguru lit up the screens of Times Square, New Yorkers couldn’t stop but start dancing to the beats of “Har Har Mahadev”!
Sharing the video on X, formerly Twitter, Sadhguru, Founder of Isha Foundation, posted, “#TimesSquare, New York welcomes #Mahashivratri! Several onlookers shared their experiences after witnessing the Mahashivratri in New York.
Describing the scene, Margaret said, “Tears streamed down my face as I saw the love and excitement in the air when Sadhguru’s image appeared on the Billboard at Time Square.”
“It was a night of celebration, connection, and a reminder that spiritual experiences can happen anywhere, even in the heart of Times Square,” she added.
Viewed by over 140 million people, Mahashivratri with Sadhguru in front of the iconic face of Adiyogi in Tamil Nadu has earned the place to be one of the most-awaited annual events in the world.
This year too, the night-long celebrations will see immersive meditations guided by Sadhguru, celebratory music and enthralling dance performances. The grand spectacle will be broadcast from 8 March, 6 pm to 9 March, 6 am in 22 languages worldwide on Sadhguru’s YouTube channels.
The event will be graced by Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar and the stage will see captivating performances from renowned artists like Shankar Mahadevan, Gurdas Maan, and others.
