'The Flying Jatt...': Man Flies Off Scooter, Lands Neatly On Pick-Up Truck's Bonnet. WATCH
A man on a scooter narrowly escaped serious injury after flying off his vehicle and landing on the bonnet of a DI pick-up truck. Watch the video below.
There is no other way to describe this other than hilariously dangerous. In a video that's going viral, a man on a scooter can be seen flying off his two-wheeler and landing neatly on the bonnet of a DI pick-up truck. He then slides off the bonnet and walks off.
Netizens are shocked and amused at the same time. The man narrowly escaped serious injury. The viral video appears to have been a CCTV footage from a camera along a busy road. However, the location is unknown.
In the video, the man on a scooter seems to have been trying to move to a lane with oncoming traffic. However, he fails to notice the divider between the two lanes. Eventually, he realises that there is a divider, but it is too late by then. He then does the most sensible thing one can think of at that moment... let go of the handles and jump off.

However, his momentum carried him to the bonnet of the DI pick-up truck. The divider was sloped which contributed to a "safe-ish" landing as the scooter merely rode over it instead of crashing into it.
Memers are now having a field day adding different music, such as 'udta hi phiru...' from the 1991 Udita Narayan and Sadhna Sargam hit 'Pehla Nasha' song to the video, making the clip absolutely hilarious. An Instagram page shared the video captioned "The Flying Jatt".
However, the funny take does not undermine the dangers of such unmindful driving as well as poorly designed road furniture. The median, which was initially the standard 'box-shaped' divider appears to have been modified to give it the round shape. What's appalling is that the modification was done with concrete and was never painted to differentiate between the road and the median.
This would make it very difficult for motorists to spot the median and is probably what happened to the scooter rider.
