Reynolds, maker of 045 fine carbure ball point pen has shunned rumours about the company discontinuing its iconic blue cap pen. The clarification comes after a post about the pen being discontinued went viral on X (formerly Twitter). The white body and blue cap pen was known for its affordability and longevity and was found with almost every student and teacher and in every household. The pen, after being in the market for years still continues to be a popular choice.

The moment it was shared, the post went viral. People began to share nostalgia associated with the pen. Some even placed orders for it.

However, Reynolds quickly debunked the rumour. Taking to the social networking site Facebook, the company wrote, "In light of recent misinformation, we wish to clarify: The information being circulated is false".
"We strongly advise our partners, stakeholders, and customers to refer to our official website and social media channels for genuine and accurate updates. Your trust remains our topmost priority," the company added.
