'Pathetic': Netizens Step Up As Trolls Mock UP Board Class 10 Topper On Appearance

Prachi Nigam, a resident of Sitapur, has topped UP Board Class 10 exams with a score of 591/600. However, she came under a brutal troll attack on social media after news portals shared her photos.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad recently released the results for classes 10 and 12. Following the announcement, it came to light that Prachi Nigam, a resident of Sitapur, secured the top position in the state for class 10 with an impressive score of 591/600.

While Nigam brought immense pride to her family with this milestone, she became the target of social media trolls who took potshots at her appearance. Several netizens, however, stepped up to support Nigam and shut down the trolls. Many individuals highlighted the negative impact of online bullying, while others extended their congratulations to her and condemned those who ridiculed her.

Netizens' Response

One user on X said trolls "don't even think twice what they're trolling and who they're trolling". "It's pathetic. I wish she didn't read those comments ever, it may harm her confidence forever. Hormonal imbalance can occur to anyone anytime. We must refrain from mocking it."

Another noted that it was "sad to learn that people are trolling" Nigam. "#PCOS is a debilitating condition, not only physically, but socially and mentally. Very proud that she has achieved this success despite her health issues," the user wrote.

A third user said Nigam has "shown incredible strength & perseverance & she deserves recognition & support, not trolling".
