'Pakistan Ko Restart Kar Rahe Hai': Memes Amid Power Crisis Keep Internet In Splits
Images showed traders and other workers from micro and small industries sitting idle as the work was halted due to power grid failure.
Pakistan was plunged into darkness on Monday due to a massive power outage. All major cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar bore the brunt of the power failure. A breakdown in the country's national electricity grid had caused the nation-wide outage, that will be completely restored in the next two days, said Pakistan’s Energy Minister, Khurram Dastgir, according to the local newspaper Dawn.
The nationwide power outage had impacted the routine lives of the people. Images showed traders and other workers from micro and small industries sitting idle as the work was halted due to power grid failure. Internet and mobile phone services were also hit by the outage in the country.
As the country is struggling with the impact of the outage, netizens lit up Twitter with hilarious memes.
"Relax Boys... Pakistan ko restart kr rhy hain, one of the user wrote. Another wrote "emotional break down, mental break down, physical break down ke baad pesh-e-khidmat ha 'power breakdown."
