Netizens Report ‘Mysterious Lights’ Seen Over Jammu, Punjab. Here’s The Truth Behind It

In their posts, users have shared several speculations including mysterious lights, UFO, Elon Musk owned-Starlink satellite, etc.

New Delhi: Netizens on Friday shared videos of “mysterious lights” seen over north Indian states particularly Punjab and the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The videos shared on social media showed a glowing slanting line in the dark sky, with social media users who shared them wondering what this “mysterious” object was.

Here are some of the tweets where netizens reported the occurrence in the night sky.

In their posts, users have shared several speculations which particularly include it being a mysterious UFO or Elon Musk owned-SpaceX’s Starlink satellite.

Defence Sources Clarify

So what is it - a UFO or a satellite? As per news agency ANI, Defence sources have confirmed that it was indeed a satellite. 

However, whether or not the satellite seen in the night sky was associated with Starlink is yet to be confirmed. But this at least puts a full stop to UFO and other aliens-related theories.
