Mumbai And UP Police Share Messages About Consent During Holi, Netizens Call It 'Brilliant'

Holi is finally here and people are celebrating the festival of colours with great enthusiasm across the country. But amid all the celebrations, one important thing that a few of us tend to ignore is 'consent'. Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh (UP) police departments took to social media to emphasise on the importance of how 'consent' matters during such festivals.
Taking to Instagram, the Uttar Pradesh Police wrote, "Wishing a happy #Holi to all! Remember that consent is the key to keeping the festival vibrant. If you experience any harassment or assault, #Dial112 for police assistance."
They also shared an infographic that read, "Balam Pichkari jo 'without consent' mujhe maari...toh 1090 pe calling ho gayi."

Since being shared, the post has garnered 2,429 likes and several comments.
