Last year in February, a man was arrested from Hyderabad whose crimes were influenced from the hit Spanish series on Netflix.
Mastermind Gunjapogu Suresh was arrested by the police who had hired three accomplices — Rohit, Induri Jagadeesh, and Kunal — and cleverly collected phone numbers of college students and teenagers.
He also gave a job to a young woman and started netting students and teenagers. He also bought a second-hand car for this purpose. When the intended victim arrived, the gang would abduct him and transport him to an undisclosed location.
