So, is there any truth to the advertisement? Are 2021 candidates really being filtered out in the bank's postings?

HDFC Bank has come out with a clarification regarding the issue. Responding to a Twitter user, a post by HDFC's official handle read: "This is a typo and we regret the error. Graduates can apply irrespective of the year of passing as long as they meet the age criteria. We have already issued the correct advertisement shared here".

According to the bank, its vendor ended up making the error wherein the word "not" was used instead of "also". The corrected advertisement was shared soon after, it stated.

While the issue was clarified, some netizens went ahead to take humorous digs at the gaffe by sharing memes:

Fortunately, the 2021 graduates who have managed to complete their courses amid the very stressful period of COVID second wave do not have to worry about now.
