Thief Snatches Chain From Retired Teacher In Broad Daylight In UP's Hardoi — On Cam
After the incident, the old teacher filed a police complaint the next day. In response, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested the accused.
A miscreant snatched a gold chain from a retired teacher in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident captured on CCTV, went viral on social media.
The viral CCTV clip shows a man approaching an elderly woman, a retired teacher, under the pretext of asking for directions. Moments later, the man snatches the chain from her neck and flees within seconds, all in broad daylight.

The video posted on X, captioned, "Chain-Snatching in Broad-Daylight (the Snatcher asked for the address....then he snatched the chain from the neck of the retired teacher and disappeared in seconds) Hardoi UP."
After the incident, the old teacher filed a police complaint the next day. In response, UP Police arrested the accused.

As soon as the video goes viral on social media, netizens sparked with mixed statements. One of the netizens reacted, "Anything is possible in UP Where the king himself follows the slogan, Even god can't save that kingdom."
The next said, " Just hear the scream of that lady.. Horrible. These chain snatching reports are increasing day by day..Just Hoping Justice will be served.
"Looks so scary. The senior citizens are not even spared!! Police must arrest based on this cctv footage and treat him so well with third degree that he never tries this again," another said.
