Chhattisgarh: 3 Nurses Suspended After Reels Shot Inside Operation Theatre Go Viral

Three nurses Tripti Dasar, Pushpa Sahu, and Tej Kumari, were sacked for making reels and dancing inside an operation theatre at Chhatisgarh's Dau Kalyan Singh PG Institute and Research Centre.

Three nurses were sacked for allegedly filming reels inside an operation theatre at a government hospital named Dau Kalyan Singh PG Institute and Research Centre in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. The facility deputy superintendent Dr Hemant Sharma stated that the three nurses Tripti Dasar, Pushpa Sahu, and Tej Kumari, were terminated after a complaint was filed against them on February 23. The nurses also shared the reels on social media that had become viral.

Dr Sharma stated that all of them worked as daily wage staff nurses at the government hospital. The reels were shot by the trio inside the operation theatre of the burn and plastic surgery unit on February 5. The incident came under the notice of the Assistant Nursing Superintendent after which the higher authorities were informed about it. 

He also stated that clicking pictures and making reels inside operation theatres is against the rules of the hospital. The nurses wore sandals and shoes inside the operation theatre that they usually wear outside. "They allegedly misbehaved with the ward in charge when she objected to their act," he said.

One of the reels shared by the hospital management showed the three nurses wearing the green dresses used in the OT and were seen dancing to songs like 'why this kolaveri di' and 'fir rahu mai dar badar' while holding surgical items in their hands.

The three nurses were assigned duty at the Emergency Medical Department of the hospital but they left their work, violated the rules of the operation theatre, entered the operation theatre wearing slippers, and made the reels, Navbharat Times reported.
