‘Chai K Liye Sab Kuch’: Viral Video Shows Men Using Deodorant To Intensify Gas Stove Flame While Making Tea

A viral video shows a man boosting a gas stove flame with deodorant to make tea when the gas was low, sparking mixed reactions online about safety, creativity, and India's love for chai.

Indians and chai go hand in hand, and it’s hard to imagine a day when most countrymen don’t start their morning with a cup of tea. When the weather turns chilly, the number of tea breaks becomes almost impossible to count. The love for this drink runs so deep that people are often willing to come up with creative jugaads to ensure they get their tea.

In one such instance, a viral video shows a man using an unconventional method to boost the flame of a stove because the gas was low, all in the name of making tea.The video begins with one man adding tea leaves to a saucepan on a gas stove. However, what grabs viewers' attention is the moment when the other man sprays deodorant into the flame to amplify it.

The text overlay in the video reads, “Gas kam tha" (The gas was low), explaining the reason behind this unusual tactic. The deodorant, which contains alcohol and flammable components, temporarily increased the flame, allowing the tea to boil.  While some viewers found the act humorous, others expressed serious safety concerns about the use of flammable substances near an open flame.
