BJP Worker Wipes Off Rainwater From PM Modi's Cutout In Karnataka, Video Goes Viral

BJP's road show in Devanahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru was cancelled owing to heavy downpour.

As campaigning for Karnataka Assembly election 2023 picks up pace, a video of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker has emerged online in which he can be seen wiping off rainwater from a cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi put up along the route of BJP's roadshow in Devanhalli near Bengaluru in Karnataka on Friday.

The video shared by new agency ANI on the microblogging site Twitter, opens to show a man wearing a lungi and a shirt approach the cutout of the Prime Minister and wipe the rainwater with the help of a "gamcha" on his shoulder.

The viral video prompted several reactions form social media users.

"That the respect and love @narendramodi ji have earned What a mesmerising moment," wrote one user after watching the video.

"That’s the reality. It represents the common man’s pure love & respect for our PM," wrote another user.

While a third said, "I must say BJP has one of the best PR teams in the world!."

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's road show in Devanahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru was cancelled owing to downpour, reported news agency PTI, citing sources.

The former BJP chief on a two-day visit to the state to campaign ahead of the May 10 Assembly elections in the state.

This is Amit Shah's first visit to the state after the poll schedule was announced on March 29.
