Bangladesh Crisis: Agitated protesters stormed into former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina's residence in Dhaka, minutes after she fled the country following her resignation on Monday. The chaos, captured in various videos circulating online, revealed the extent of looting at Hasina's palace. Furniture, food from the refrigerator, and livestock, including rabbits, fish, chickens, and goats, were taken by the intruders.

Throughout the day, people continued to flood Ganabhaban, the official residence of the Bangladesh Prime Minister, setting fires, removing furniture, and even pulling raw fish from the refrigerators.

A video showed a group of protesters feasting on food stored in large vessels at the residence. Some individuals were seen bathing in a water body within the palace premises. According to the Bangladeshi daily Prothom Alo, coconuts from the garden, sarees, bed sheets, pillow covers, and undergarments were among the items stolen.
Viral photos showed the mob parading through the streets with personal belongings such as bras, blouses, and sarees. One man was seen wearing a saree and carrying a plastic bucket filled with clothes, while another young man held up a purple blouse.

Protesters were seen leaving the building with cattle, television sets, blankets, gym equipment, and even a blue Dior suitcase.

Bangladesh Unrest
The Bangladesh student protest, marked by intense anger against the Awami League, also saw the vandalism of a statue of the country's founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Official structures of the Awami League were set ablaze, and party members faced the wrath of the furious crowd. Authorities disconnected internet services across the country on Sunday after violence between protesters and police resulted in nearly 100 deaths, including 14 policemen. As protests escalated on Monday, Hasina was evacuated to safety and subsequently fled to India.
Monday's violence followed weeks of protests against a quota system for government jobs and Hasina's 15-year rule. Thousands of demonstrators stormed other buildings associated with her party members and family.
