‘Ride On Space Shuttle Instead Of Uber…’: When Anand Mahindra Asked Sunita Williams For A Lift
Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra shared his group selfie with Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and NASA astronaut Sunita Williams wondering if it was their "Washington moment".
Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra took to Twitter on Sunday morning and shared his group photo with Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, 3rdiTech co-founder Vrinda Kapoor, and NASA astronaut Sunita Williams. He wondered if people would call it a ‘Washington moment.’ He said they were all having a conversation after the tech handshake meeting that was held on Saturday and, in the meantime, they missed their group shuttle bus to the next lunch engagement. Mahindra said they were all trying to call an Uber. On a lighter note, he also shared that he asked Sunita Williams if they could hitch a ride on her space shuttle instead of an Uber.

After the Tweet went viral, several of Anand Mahindra’s fans started responding positively on social media.
One of the users said, “A Washington moment indeed, what an honour for Uber to have the greatest sons of hitching a ride with them.
A second user said, “Great personalities and the pride of India in one frame.” A third user said, “Wow moment. It is very down-to-earth to call Uber.”
Amid the barrage of tweets, that Mahindra’s post received, there was another tweet that said, “Powerful Selfie Anandji.”
Mukesh Ambani and Anand Mahindra were among several other Indian businessmen, who attended the US State Dinner held in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington DC earlier this week.
After the grand dinner, the two business tycoons such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Apple CEO Tim Cook in the East Room of the White House on Friday for an India-US Hi-Tech Handshake meeting.
Throughout his US visit, the Mahindra continued to keep his fans and followers on Twitter updated with pictures and videos from the events.
