All-Tomato Salad Served For Lunch At A Company's Event Goes Viral

"Now I am convinced Honda is a premium brand. Only the rich can afford display these many tomatoes in the open," wrote another user.

Prices of tomatoes skyrocketed due to heavy rain in several parts of the country and are yet to come down. In the retail market, they are selling between Rs 150-200 per kilogramme thus weighing heavily on people's finances, including restaurants and food manufacturers who heavily rely on this versatile ingredient. However, car maker Honda served an all-tomato salad for their post-event lunch. A tweet about the salad shared by Journalist Kushan Mishra has gone viral.

the post shared on the microblogging site shows a picture a large quantity of chopped tomatoes.

“So at the lunch after the drive of the Honda Car India. Elevate, they went all out to impress automotive journalists by having this at the lunch spread," read the caption of the post shared Mishra.

Guess what the dish was labelled as, "Green salad". Yes you heard that right, but there wasn’t a hint of green anywhere to be found.

Immediately after being shared the pic went viral amassing close to72,000 views and several comments.

"I would steal some, sell them & purchase a Honda showroom in Ludhiana," commented one user on the post.

"Now I am convinced Honda is a premium brand. Only the rich can afford display these many tomatoes in the open," wrote another user.

"A couple of trays of this & you could barter it for a solid discount on the Elevate!," wrote a third.

While a fourth wrote, "I didn't know that green salad looks red."
