'Who Is Jay Shah...': KCR's Party Hits Back At PM Modi Over 'Parivarwaad' Jibe

Stepping up his attack on dynastic politics, PM Modi also added that 'parivarwaadi' parties think only about their development and do not care about the poor people.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over ‘parivarbaad’ or dynastic politics in an event in Hyderabad on Thursday. Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister over his remark, CM KCR and his team said that Modi did not speak like a Prime Minister but only a BJP leader.

According to reports, Modi, referring to KCR’s son KT Rama Rao, who is a part of the TRS-led state government, Modi, as quoted in a report by Hindustan Times, said, “Parivarwaadi party is not just a political problem but the biggest enemy of democracy and the youth of our country. Our country has seen how corruption becomes the face of those political parties dedicated to one family.”

Stepping up his attack on dynastic politics, he also added that 'parivarwaadi' parties think only about their development and do not care about the poor people. Their politics is focused on how a single-family can stay in power and loot as much as they can and lack any interest in the development of people, PM Modi said.

Taking potshots at the PM over his remarks, KCR's party spokesperson Krishank Manne, as quoted by NDTV, said, "PM only spoke about 'parivarwaad'. If that is the case, then who is Jay Shah (Union Home Minister Amit Shah's son) to lead cricket of India? They should expel Rajnath Singh and his son also if they do not believe in 'parivarwaad'. Speak about Telangana?”

It is to be noted that Jay Shah is the secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son.

KCR also lashed out at PM Modi saying that despite 'bhaashanbaazi' (high rhetoric), industries are closing down, the nation's GDP is crashing and the rupee is falling drastically as compared to the US dollar.

Speaking to PTI reporters after a meeting with JD(S) supremo and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, his son and former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and his grandson Nikhil Kumaraswamy, KCR said, “Lots of talks happen but now India will change. India has to change and take a shape for future. It has to rise despite politics, politicians and 'isms'. Efforts should be made to change the situation of the country. After two to three months, you will get to see some sensational news.”
