This Newly-Wed Indian-Ukrainian Couple Narrowly Escaped Russian Invasion, Hosts Reception in Hyderabad

Hyderabad resident Prateek married his Ukrainian girlfriend Lyubov on February 23, a day before Russia invaded Ukraine

Hyderabad: It’s a story that makes a perfect plot for a film. Hyderabad resident Prateek returned from Ukraine, along with his newly-wed Ukrainian wife Lyubov, on February 23. Had they waited one more day, they would have had to be evacuated from the country as Russia invaded it on February 24.

After narrowly escaping the war, the Indian-Ukrainian couple hosted a reception in Hyderabad on Monday where they were blessed by CS Rangarajan, the renowned chief priest of Chilkur Balaji temple.

Hyderabad residents Mallikarjun Rao and Padmaja’s son Prateek also had a Hindu wedding with Lyubov, following 'Panigrahana', Monday.

The Chilkur priest also prayed with devotees at Lord Balaji Temple in the 16th century Venkateswara temple to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine and restore peace.
