Telangana Govt Takes Steps To Facilitate Return Of Students Stranded In Himachal Pradesh
Minister K. T. Rama Rao said that he has alerted Resident Commissioner in New Delhi Gaurav Uppal to assist the students.
The Telangana government has initiated measures to ensure the safe return of Telugu students stuck in flood-ravaged Himachal Pradesh. Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said on Tuesday that he received information from distressed parents about the students being stranded in Kullu and Manali.
KTR said he alerted the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, Gaurav Uppal, to provide assistance to the students.
KTR also took to Twitter to inform people that if anyone needed assistance, they could reach out to Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi or his office.

Incessant rains have pounded Himachal Pradesh in the last few days, triggering flash floods. The heavy downpour has wreaked havoc in the hill state, causing landslides, washing away bridges, and blocking roads.
The rain fury is reported to have claimed 20 lives. At least 80 roads in Himachal Pradesh have been completely destroyed. More than 200 houses have been damaged due to heavy rain in the hill state. Several tourists from various states are reported to be stuck in Kullu, Manali and other places.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas to take stock of the situation in the hill state.
Earlier, a red alert was issued Mandi, Kullu Manali, Solan and Sirmaur till July 13. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the landslides and flash floods, the Chief Minister assured that the state government was making all-out efforts to tackle the situation efficiently.
