Telangana Formation Day | Hyderabad Police Issues Advisory For Traffic Restrictions — Check Routes To Avoid

The Hyderabad police also said that the people who are attending the events related to Telangana Formation Day will be allowed in the diverted zones. 

New Delhi: As the state would move ahead to celebrate Telangana Foundation Day, the Hyderabad police have issued an advisory for the smooth movement of traffic in view of the event to be held at Public Gardens, Nampally today. The traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place from 7:30 am to 11 am. 

A Facebook post by Hyderabad Police read, “Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad do hereby notify for the information of the general public that in order to facilitate proper regulation of traffic in connection with the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Public Gardens, Nampally on 2nd June 2022 from 07.30 AM to 11.00 AM.”

The post further said what restrictions are supposed to be in place. 

  • The General Traffic coming from MJ Market & proceeding towards Public Garden will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Taj Island towards Ek Minar – Bhazarghar – Asif Nagar/ Red hills- Ayodya Hotel, Lakdikapul, etc.
  • The General Traffic coming from Nampally Railway Station towards Public Garden will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Chapel Road T Jn towards Gunfoundry – Abids or BJR Statue – Bhasheerbagh Fly over etc. 
  • The General Traffic coming from Nirankari Bhavan & Khairtabad towards Ravindra Bharathi will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Old PS Saifabad towards Telephone Bhavan - Iqbal Minar – Secretariat Road– Telugu Talli – Ambedkar Statue – Liberty – Bhasheerbagh – Abids etc. 
  • The General Traffic coming from Hyderguda, King Koti, and BJR Statue towards PCR, and Public Garden will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Bhasheerbagh Junction towards Liberty – Telugutalli – NTR Marg - Iqbal Minar – Old PS Saifabad – Lakdikapul Bridge & BJR Statue -Abids etc. 
  • The General Traffic coming from Tankbund towards Ravindra Bharathi will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Iqbal Minar towards Telephone Bhavan road – Old PS Saifabad – Lakdikapul Bridge etc. 
  • The General Traffic coming from Sujatha School towards Public Garden will not be allowed and it will be diverted at AR Petrol Pump towards BJR Statue.              
  • The General Traffic coming from Telugu Talli, NTR Marg & Liberty sides towards Adarsh Nagar road and towards Police Control Room Junction (PCR) will not be allowed and it will be diverted at Adarsh Nagar (New MLA Quarters) towards Liberty road and Telugu Talli Flyover.

However, the Hyderabad police also said that the people who are attending the events related to Telangana Formation Day will be allowed in the diverted zones. 

The police further requested people to take alternate routes and cooperate. Along with this, they shared a map of diversion points.
