TRS New Name: Telangana Rashtra Samithi Is Now Bharat Rashtra Samithi, KCR Launches National Party

K Chandrashekhar Rao stated in his speech at Telangana Bhawan, "Proficiency and meaningfulness should reckon in every work that taken up. 21 years ago, We have started at Konda Laxman Bapuji's residence -Jala Drushyam."

KCR further said, "Crushed under the United Andhra rule, We moved forward by taking along Telangana people."

"Within a short time after achieving Telangana State, we are heading fast by implementing  development programmes in all sectors including Agriculture, Electricity, Irrigation and Drinking water. The neighbouring states are wonderstruck by seeing  programmes in Telangana state.  All this is possible because every action is being executed with  utmost commitment (like Yagnam)," KCR added.

"In the 75 years of Independent India, the parties that ruled the country have done nothing for the country except ascend or dethrone." With the slogan Jai Telangana, we fought and overcame many obstacles to achieve Telangana's statehood. Politics is a task for TRS and a game for other parties. As activists, we worked tirelessly for Telangana's development. Great accomplishments have been made possible through hard work. Telangana's per capita income was only Rs one lakh when the state was formed...but it has now risen to Rs 2.78 lakh."

"Telangana's  GSDP was Rs  5. 6 lakh  in 2014 and today it has reached  to Rs 11. 50 lakh," the CM said.

"The country is plagued by two major forms of discrimination. Gender discrimination is one, and caste discrimination is another. Women, who make up half of the country's population, are excluded from development due to gender discrimination. At the same time, due to caste discrimination, 20 percent of the country's population - Dalits - were unable to participate in the country's development. Both the power of women and the power of Dalits has been weakened, and development has stalled," KCR further added.

It was earlier reported that KCR is keen on preparing a blueprint for the welfare schemes for farmers. The party will largely focus on the upliftment of Dalit communities and promoting communal harmony, said sources.

The Telangana CM has earlier announced that free electricity will be provided to farmers across the country if the non-BJP coalition comes to power. Claiming that power has been underuntilised by the NDA government at the Centre, KCR says he has plans for utilising 4.04 lakh MW power properly.

Besides power underutilisation, he also claimed that there's an availability of 70,000 TMC of water availability which is not being used properly for harvesting. KCR said that the Gujarat model has failed utterly and the country is looking for a strong alternative.

JDS leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, JDS minister Revanna, several JDS party MLAs and senior leaders arrived in Hyderabad to attend the general body meeting on Wednesday.
