Hyderabad Police Nab Nine Persons For Illegally Selling Black Fungus Drug 

With MRP of Rs 7,800, the gang was selling Amphotericin B in black for Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police nabbed 9 persons on Thursday night in connection with allegedly illegally procuring and selling Amphotericin B, an injection for Black Fungus. The police recovered 28 amphotericin B from their possession. 

"Two gangs held for illegally procuring and selling black fungus injections in Hyderabad, 28 Amphotericin-B injections seized. Maximum Retail Price of the injections is around Rs.7,800. They were selling it for Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000," said Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police.

“On Thursday, sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force of West Zone team laid a trap and nabbed two gangs comprising 9 persons, in Hyderabad’s SR Nagar and Banjara Hills police station limits for indulging in a illegally procuring and selling Amphotericin B,” said Hyderabad City Commissioner Anjani Kumar in a presser.

As part of first gang, police arrested G Sri Kanth (39), K Shashi (33), B Venkata Suresh (33), R Niranjan (36) & Md Aleemuddin (33). The police also arrested four persons from the other gang. They are identified as T Balaswamy (31), Md Abdul Khadeer (33), B Ranjith (39), B Anvesh Kumar Reddy (33). While Vinod, a resident of Guntur, is absconding and he is the friend of G Srikanth.
