Independence Day 2024: 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Callertune Makes A Comeback As PM Modi Encourages Everyone To Hoist Tricolour
The "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, which began under the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" banner in 2022, encourages people to celebrate India's independence by hoisting the Tricolour.
Independence Day 2024: As India gears up for its 78th Independence Day on August 15, the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign has reintroduced its signature caller tune. This initiative, which first gained prominence in recent years, aims to inspire citizens to display the national flag at their homes.
The campaign, which began under the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" banner in 2022, encourages people to celebrate India's independence by hoisting the Tricolour. This year marks the third instalment of the initiative, running from August 9 to 15, in honour of the nation's 78th Independence Day.
In a familiar gesture, those making phone calls during this period are greeted by a message urging them to share photos with the Tricolour on the official "Har Ghar Tiranga" website, further spreading the campaign’s message.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also taken to social media to encourage widespread participation. In a recent tweet, he said, "As this year’s Independence Day approaches, let’s again make #HarGharTiranga a memorable mass movement. I am changing my profile picture and I urge you all to join me in celebrating our Tricolour by doing the same."
