Oppo Reno 12 5G Pro, Oppo Reno 12 5G Key Specs, Colours, Design Revealed Ahead Of India Launch

Oppo has said that the standard Oppo Reno 12 5G will be available in three colour variants.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G are slated to launch in India on July 12 at 12 PM IST. The handset maker has announced that these phones will be available through e-commerce site Flipkart and the Oppo India website. The design of the Indian models closely mirror the Chinese and global Reno 12 series models. Both handsets feature a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup housed in a slightly raised rectangular module in the top left corner.

Oppo has announced that the standard Oppo Reno 12 5G will be available in three colour variants: Astro Silver, Matte Brown and Sunset Peach. Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G will be offered in Space Brown and Sunset Gold colourways.

Oppo Reno 12 5G Pro, Oppo Reno 12 5G Specs And Features

Initially introduced in China in May and later launched globally last month, the company has now announced the India release date. Oppo has also unveiled the design, colour options and key features of the Reno 12 series ahead of the official unveiling in India. These new models will succeed the Oppo Reno 11 5G lineup, which debuted in India in January. (Read our full review of the Oppo Reno 11 5G here)

Ahead of the official unveiling, the smartphone manufacturer has revealed some key specifications of the lineup. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro will feature a quad-micro curved display shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, whereas the standard Reno 12 will come with Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Both models will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, with 1.07 billion colours with 10-bit panel.

These displays are engineered to perform excellently in bright outdoor environments, offering a peak HDR brightness of up to 1200 nits, according to the brand.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G series models will come with 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The standard Reno 12 will include a 2-megapixel macro camera as its third sensor, while the Pro version will equipped with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G are set to debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset. These devices will support advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features, including AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary and AI Eraser 2.0. Both models will feature a 5,000mAh battery, complemented by 80W SuperVOOC fast charging capabilities.
