5G Smartphones Race: OPPO Beats Samsung And Xiaomi To Become No.1 Phones

The sale of 5G smartphones increased worldwide in the first quarter of 2021 OPPO has emerged as the best selling Android 5G smartphone company in this quarter, leaving behind Samsung and Xiaomi.

As 5G smartphones become even more popular, companies are busy launching new smartphones in this segment. When it comes to 5G technology big players like Samsung and Xiaomi have always been at the top but this time around OPPO has emerged as a winner in selling 5G smartphones. According to a report by market research firm Strategy Analytics, in the first quarter of this year, OPPO has sold the most 5G Android phones. Although Apple is still number one in terms of overall 5G smartphone sales, OPPO is currently on top in the sales of 5G Android phones.

According to the report by market research firm Strategy Analytics, America's Apple company topped with 40.4 million in the first quarter of this year. In the same time period, OPPO has emerged as the second fastest-selling smartphone company in the world. OPPO has sold a total of 21.1 million smartphones in the first quarter of this year, which is 55% more than the last year (2020). Vivo comes next after selling 62 times more 5G smartphones in the first quarter of this year as compared to the last year.  

Phones sold in the first quarter
Apple has sold 40.4 million smartphones in the first quarter of 2021. At the same time, OPPO has sold 21.5 million. Apart from this, Vivo has sold 19.4 million phones. Samsung has sold 17 million phones, while Xiaomi has sold 16.6 million smartphones in the first quarter of the year.
