Alka Lamba Set To Challenge Atishi In Delhi 2025 Elections, Sources Reveal Major Political Showdown Ahead | ABP News
A major development has emerged regarding the Delhi Assembly elections. Alka Lamba is now ready to contest against Atishi from the Kalkaji seat. The Congress Central Election Committee had initially approved Alka Lamba's candidacy for the Kalkaji seat, but she had been reluctant to run. As a result, Kalkaji did not feature in Congress's second list of candidates. However, after discussions with Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lamba has agreed to accept the party's decision and contest. The Congress is expected to announce candidates for Kalkaji and the remaining 23 Delhi seats on January 3. Alka Lamba, a former AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk, had hoped for a ticket from there, but Congress decided to field Mudit Agrawal, placing Lamba against Atishi in Kalkaji.
