Two College Students Held For Extorting Money From Gay Man By Threatening Him With Recorded Sex Film In Coimbatore
The police are on the lookout to find another student Manickam who was also involved in the crime.
Chennai: The Coimbatore city police arrested two college students for extorting money from a gay man by making him involve in a homosexual act, filming the act and threatening him with the recorded visual. The police are also on the lookout for the third student who was also involved in the crime.
According to a report on Times of India, the two arrested persons were identified as S Prasath (19) and M Nishanth (22), both of Sivananda Colony in Coimbatore. The police are on the lookout to find one Manickam.
The police said, Prasath, Nishanth and Manickam using a popular gay social networking app Blued invited a 34-year-old Gay person to place near a hospital in Saibaba colony.
On March 27, Prasath went to Saibaba Colony and met the man. Later, he got involved in homosexual acts in a secluded place near a railway station at around 2.30 am with him.

During the same time, Nishanth and Manickam recorded a video of the act and within minutes they started to threaten the man at knifepoint. They then snatched his mobile phone and took away Rs 2,500 cash.
They also threatened that they would circulate the video on social media if he approached the police and said he should continue to provide money whenever they demand him.

However, the man gave a complaint to Saibaba Colony police inspector Regina against the trio.
Following this, Saibaba Colony police arrested Prasanth on Sunday and Nishanth on Monday. They are on lookout for Manickam.
