If BJP Wins Lok Sabha Polls 2024, Nobody Can Save Democracy: TN CM Stalin
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said that BJP damaged the fundamental ideas that constitute India so they should put a full stop to this in the upcoming (2024) Parliamentary polls.
If BJP wins the Lok Sabha poll 2024 then nobody can save democracy, social justice and the constitution, said DMK President and CM MK Stalin in Trichy on Wednesday. Stalin said that the most important thing is who must not remain in power at the Centre than who could capture power.
According to PTI, Stalin addressing DMK's booth-level party workers in Delta said, DMK and its allies must win in all the 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu besides the lone segment in neighbouring Puducherry. He told the party workers in charge of the polling stations to speak to people about the ideology and welfare schemes of the party.
He insisted the party workers efficiently use social media during campaigning. He also told the workers to ensure a big win for the party.
Stalin said: "BJP has damaged the fundamental ideas that constitute India and we have to put a full stop to this in the upcoming (2024) Parliamentary polls; otherwise not only Tamil Nadu, no one can save India (as a whole). If the BJP dispensation is to continue in power at the Centre, nobody can save democracy, social justice and the Constitution."
The suggested attempt to give weightage to the population while determining the number of MPs in Parliament would have an impact on Tamil Nadu and Kerala, which are among the states that properly followed the family planning programme. On the other hand, the proportion of MPs from northern states would rise due to their populations, he said.

"They are making a false calculation that they will be able to capture power through MPs from northern states even if we win 40 Lok Sabha seats. They are trying to stifle the voice of Tamil Nadu. That is why I am telling you that this (2024 Lok Sabha polls) is a very important election," he said, as per the report.
