Union Home Minister Amit Shah said people are happy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime as next year in January, Lord Ram will sit in his grand temple after 550 years.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that people in the country are happy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime as Lord Ram will sit in his grand temple after 550 years. Inaugurating 'Hindu Gaurav Diwas' on the second death anniversary of former chief minister Kalyan Singh in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, the home minister also said there will be a sense of satisfaction among the devotees of Lord Ram all over the world on the day when Ram temple is opened next year.

He paid his tributes to Kalyan Singh and said the leader used to care for the poor. Shah said that the former UP chief minister was happy when PM Modi laid the foundational stone for the construction of the Ram temple without causing any protest or bloodshed. He added that Kalyan Singh wanted to give direction to Ram Janambhoomi Movement, which has been taken ahead by PM Modi.

Amit Shah also emphasised that PM Modi ensured access to drinking water, electricity, healthcare facilities, etc to the houses of the poor. Home Minister also said Modi gave many facilities for the backward caste people without any discrimination over the last 9 years during his leadership.

Talking on the Ram Mandir issue, Shah hit out the Congress party and remarked that the party was postponing and ignoring the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya but PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the temple after the Supreme Court's verdict.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the occasion to pay tributes to UP CM late Kalyan Singh on his second death anniversary.

In a video posted by news agency ANI on Twitter, he said, "Today we are remembering former UP CM Late Kalyan Singh on the 'Hindu Gaurav Diwas'. He put a lot of effort into the development of the state, respect for the heritage, and the development of the nationality of India.”

After paying homage to Kalyan Singh, CM Adityanath said, “In 1991, the BJP government was elected for the first time in Uttar Pradesh. Then people here realised what kind of security and good governance should exist.”
