UP Woman Killed By Her Partner, Body Kept Hidden Under Tank Of House For 14 Days

After the police checked the call details of the victim's phone, Arvind was taken into custody and interrogated, during which he revealed where the body could be located.

A man allegedly killed his partner and hid her body under the tank of his under-construction house in Prayagraj. The body of 35-year-old Raj Kesar was recovered from the house of her partner named Arvind in the Mahewa locality under the Yamunapar Karchhana police station area on Friday. Station House Officer (SHO) Vishwajeet Singh told news agency PTI that Arvind killed Kesar about 14 days ago and hid her body in a tank at his house. The search began after her family reported her missing.

According to PTI, after the police checked the call details of her phone, Arvind was taken into custody and interrogated, during which he revealed where the body could be located, SHO Singh said. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. According to ABP News sources, the victim was killed on May 24. The accused had murdered his girlfriend with the help of his two friends.

This comes amid an ongoing investigation into the Mumbai Mira road murder, a Mumbai man killed his live-in partner Saraswati, and chopped her body into pieces before boiling them in a pressure cooker. The murder was discovered by the police after neighbours of the Geeta Akash Deep Building Flat J-704 complained of an unbearable stench.

According to ANI, the accused told the police during his questioning that Saraswati Vaidya died by suicide on June 3. "He was scared that he would be accused of killing her, so he decided to dispose of her body. He told the Police that he chopped her body into pieces and boiled them in a pressure cooker to avoid the stench," Vasai-Virar Police said.

The police found three buckets of blood and body parts. Manoj allegedly chopped the body into 20 pieces. Police could find only Saraswati’s feet and a few other body parts.

The summer heat only quickened the decomposition and the stench made it extremely difficult for the cops to carry out the recovery operation. There was no refrigerator in the house and it appeared that Manoj tried to keep the odour at bay using air fresheners.
