Lucknow Police has arrested a man and his father after a woman claimed that she was gang-raped by the duo.

The victim, 25, accused the man, a resident of Purseni in Mohanlalganj in Lucknow, of forcing her to keep fast and eat meat.

The woman further claimed that the accused, Akeel, changed his name to Akhil Yadav, got her mobile number and befriended her on the pretext of finding her a new job. The accused then raped her along with his friends and father.

The 25-year-old woman worked at a private company in Lucknow and lived with her husband in Alambagh.

According to the complaint, the accused raped the woman multiple times and also invited his father and friends to assault her.

She said in the complaint that the accused called her one day and asked her to meet him on the pretext of finding her a new job. He then took her to Kaiserbagh where Akeel raped her along with his father. She also claimed that the accused assaulted her when she resisted. 

She also alleged that Akeel along with a lawyer made her sign several documents claiming that it was related to her new job.  

She also said that after the incident, he took her to his home in Mohanlalganj, where he tied her and kept her hostage. She said that Akeel raped her along with her father, while the accused mother supported them.  

The Mohanlalganj police have booked seven people including the accused Akeel and his father under Sections 376D, 420, 342, 323 , 506 and 377. The police have also arrested the accused and his father.
