Lok Sabha Polls: Samajwadi Party Releases Fifth List, Dharmendra Yadav To Fight From Azamgarh
The Samajwadi Party revealed a significant changes in its lineup. SP has changed its candidate from Misrikh Lok Sabha and Manoj Kumar Rajvanshi has been given the ticket.
New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Saturday released its fifth list of candidates on Saturday for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. There are six candidates in this sixth list of SP. Notably, Dharmendra Yadav has been fielded from Azamgarh constituency. The list further includes Mahendra Nagar as the candidate for Gautam Budh Nagar, Bhim Nishad for Sultanpur, Jitendra Dohre for Etawah, and Narayan Das Ahirwar for Jalaun. Additionally, SP has decided to alter its candidate for the Misrikh constituency, introducing Manoj Kumar Rajvanshi to the electoral fray.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) initially declared Rampal Rajvanshi as its candidate for the Misrikh seat. However, the SP has replaced Rampal Rajvanshi with Manoj Kumar Rajvanshi as its candidate for this constituency.
As of now, the SP has announced candidates for a total of 42 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The party has released four lists prior to this, unveiling the names of several candidates contesting from various constituencies across the state.
The Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Uttar Pradesh have been scheduled to be held in seven phases, covering a total of 80 seats in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Nishad Party, and Apna Dal (S) have formed an alliance and are contesting the elections collectively.
On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress have forged an alliance, joining forces for the upcoming elections. Notably, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has decided to contest the elections independently, marking a departure from alliances.

The countings of the vote for the 18th Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 4.
