Latest Photo Of Ayodhya Ram Temple's Sanctum Sanctorum Goes Viral

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra tweeted an image of the sanctum sanctorum on Friday that shows workers applying touches to the white walls.

New Delhi: As the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya is going on in full swing, a key member of the Ram temple trust tweeted a new photo of the sanctum sanctorum that has gone viral on the social media.

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra tweeted an image of the sanctum sanctorum on Friday that shows workers applying touches to the white walls.

It is to be noted that the Ram temple is scheduled to be opened in early 2024, months ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

According to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the construction of the Ram Temple is going on smoothly and will be completed within the given time frame by 2024.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah had earlier announced in January 2023 that the temple would be ready by January 1, 2024.

Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, recently said that the construction of Ram Mandir is approximately 70 per cent complete and added that by the third week of January next year, the idol of Lord Ram will be installed and arrangements will be made for devotees to visit and offer prayers from the day itself.

Notably, work on the ground floor of the Ram Temple has crossed the halfway point. The sanctum sanctorum, which is likely to be complete by August, will include 170 pillars on the ground floor.

Two architects CB Sompura and Jai Karthik are involved in designing the temple.

Earlier in February, Nepal had sent two massive stones to the construction site for the making of the Ram and Janaki idols that will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum.

The stones that weighed 18 tons and 16 tons respectively were carefully selected as they are considered to be the symbols of Lord Vishnu.
