Atiq Ahmed's Brother-In-Law Suspended From UP Health Dept For 'Sheltering' Umesh Pal Murder Case Accused
Akhlaq Ahmed, Atiq Ahmed's brother-in-law, has been suspended from the Uttar Pradesh health department. In the Umesh Pal murder case, he is accused of providing shelter to accused Guddu Muslim.
Akhlaq Ahmed, the brother-in-law of Mafia Atiq Ahmed, has been suspended from the Uttar Pradesh health department, news agency ANI reported on Tuesday (April 25). He is accused of providing shelter to accused Guddu Muslim in the Umesh Pal murder case. Earlier this month, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Prayagraj Police arrested him in Meerut in a joint operation.

He has been accused of giving shelter to accused Guddu Muslim in the Umesh Pal murder case.
Guddu Muslim is a close aide of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad, who was shot dead at point-blank range on April 15 night while being taken for a medical examination in Prayagraj by armed men posing as journalists.
Akhlaq Ahmed Helped Asad To Flee:
After killing Umesh Pal, Slain Atiq Ahmed's son, Asad, fled with the help of Akhlaq, ANI reported citing sources. Notably, Umesh Pal, an advocate and key witness in the 2005 murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal, was shot dead on February 24 in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Slain mafia don turned politician Atiq Ahmed was the main suspect in the 2005 murder of BSP legislator Raju Pal. He was also charged with the murder of Umesh Pal.

Atiq's Lawyer Arrested:
Last week, Atiq Ahmed's lawyer Khan Saulat Hanif was arrested on Saturday for criminal conspiracy in the February 24 murders of lawyer Umesh Pal, a key witness in the 2005 murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal, and his two police guards in Prayagraj's Sulem Sarai area.
Khan Saulat Hanif and his son's names were added as accused in the Umesh Pal murder case under Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. A case was registered against Atiq Ahmad, his brother Ashraf, his wife Shaista Parveen, their three sons (including Asad), aides Guddu Muslim and Ghulam, and nine others at Prayagraj's Dhoomanganj police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Umesh Pal's wife Jaya Pal on the day of the murders.
On March 28, the Prayagraj MP/MLA court found Atiq Ahmed, Khan Saulat Hanif, and Dinesh Pasi guilty of kidnapping and assaulting Umesh Pal in 2006 and sentenced them to life in prison. Hanif and Pasi are being held at Prayagraj's Naini Central Jail.
