Telangana: 14-Year-Old Girl Dies Of Shock After Witnessing Attack On Father Over Land Dispute
Nagaram Circle Inspector K. Raghuveer Reddy confirmed the attack on Pavani's father and stated that a case has been registered against the three accused.
In Telangana's Suryapet district, a 14-year-old girl collapsed and died on the spot after witnessing her father being brutally attacked by three men over a land dispute. The attackers, identified as Kadari Saidulu, Kadari Somayya, and Kasam Kalingam, assaulted her father Somayya with sticks and iron rods, escalating the ongoing land dispute into a violent confrontation.
The victim was Kasam Pavani was a Class 7 student at Suryapet. On Friday, the goons took to beating Pavani's father in front of her and she reportedly became unable to bear the trauma. Overwhelmed by the scene, Pavani collapsed and died. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Nagaram Circle Inspector K. Raghuveer Reddy confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered against the three accused. He assured that they would be arrested soon and that the authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victims, according to a report on India Today.
Somayya sustained injuries in the attack but survived.
Former Minister KT Rama Rao reacted to the incident and blamed the government for 'dwindling law and order' in Telangana. He took to X and said, "Truly heartbreaking! 14yr old Pallavi’s heart stopped when goons entered their home and attacked her father Somaiah. She wailed for help. I am told that unable to take the pain of seeing her dear father attacked, Pallavi collapsed and passed away."
"As a father of a loving daughter, it makes me sad that we failed to protect a little girl, a little girl whose father was her heart! Deepest sympathies with the family, especially the father. Another big blot on the govt and a heartbreaking example of dwindling law and order in Telangana. Sorry Pallavi we failed you! 💔" he said.
