Meanwhile, the Ram temple has been decorated with "rich stocks" of flowers and special lights as the temple town is gearing up for the grand even on Monday.
"These are all natural flowers and due to winter can last longer. So they will remain fresh on the day of the consecration ceremony. The fragrance and the aesthetic appeal of these vibrant flowers have lent another layer of divinity to the temple," news agency PTI quoted one of its sources as saying.
Amid chanting of Vedic verses, the new 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla (Lord Ram in his childhood), carved by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple on Thursday afternoon. The idol was brought there on a truck a day earlier.
