'Will Reinstate Collapsed Law & Order': Rajasthan Dy CM Diya Kumari's Dig At Congress After Taking Oath

Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, recently appointed as Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Ministers, emphasised their commitment to instigating change and aligning with the central government's initiatives.

In their first reaction, Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, who were sworn in as Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Ministers on Friday, stated that the newly formed BJP government in the state's focus will be "to bring a change along with the central government's schemes," citing the need for better law and order actions in the state. Later today, the two deputies and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma took over their respective offices.

"There has been no development in Rajasthan for five years, and no work has been done here (Rajasthan). Crimes against women increased, law and order crumbled, and the state's financial situation was dire - everyone is aware of Rajasthan's situation. As our Chief Minister guides us, we will all work together. Our top priority will be to effectively implement the Central Government's schemes in the state. Because the people of Rajasthan have expressed their trust in the BJP, in Prime Minister Modi, our responsibility grows, and we will try to shoulder it well," sworn-in Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Diya Kumari prayed earlier in the day before taking office in Jaipur. Diya Kumari was seen praying in a video shared by the news agency PTI. BJP supporters chanted 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Modi-Modi' as Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Diya Kumari, and Bairwa took the oath.

Diya Kumari is sharing the key post with Prem Chand Bairwa, who also took oath today. In his first reaction, Bairwa on similar lines said: "Our priority will be to make sure that the Central govt schemes reach the last person standing in line. I will work with sincerity in the department allocated to me. We will work for the upliftment of the Dalits and also focus on steps to prevent atrocities against women," ANI quoted him as saying.

Bhajan Lal Sharma, a first-time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, was sworn in as Rajasthan's new chief minister today. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath to him during a ceremony at Jaipur's Ramnivas Bag. Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa were sworn in as deputy chief ministers.
