Jharkhand Budget 2022: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government on Thursday presented a budget of Rs 1.01 lakh crore for the 2022-23 financial year.
Jharkhand Budget 2022: Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition government in Jharkhand on Thursday presented a budget of Rs 1.01 lakh crore for the Financial Year 2022-23. This budget proposes to increase the capital expenditure by 59 percent. Earlier, the Hemant Soren government had presented a budget of Rs 91,277 crore for the FY 2021-22.
Before the budget, the Jharkhand Assembly was adjourned till 12 noon following an uproar by the BJP-led opposition parties, which demanded a 27 percent OBC quota in the upcoming panchayat elections. However, after 12 o'clock, the budget was presented and the government made important announcements.
Jharkhand Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon's Announcement & Proposal In The Budget 2022-23
- The Finance Minister of Jharkhand government presented a budget of Rs 1,01,101 crore in the Assembly for the FY 2022-23.
- The Guruji Credit Card Scheme will be launched to remove hurdles faced by Jharkhand students in higher education.
- In order to reduce the burden of electricity on poors and farmers, a proposal to give 100 units of electricity per month to each such household free of cost, has been tabled.
- Rs 50,000 per house will be available for the construction of an additional room from the state fund of the government.
- The Jharkhand government has said that para teachers will be known as assistant teachers.
- The government has announced an additional provision of Rs 600 crore under the state scheme for the upcoming year 2022-23 under the honorarium of these teachers.
- The Finance Minister said that in the health sector, the government has increased amount by 27%, drinking water by 20%, education by 6.5%, and agriculture by 21%.
- The government has proposed a budget of Rs 4,091.37 crore in the agriculture and the allied sector.
- The Finance Minister said that so far 836 crores have been transferred to the accounts of 2,11,530 farmers under the farm loan waiver scheme.
- The Jharkhand government has said that under the Go-Dhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung will be procured at reasonable prices for the purpose of increasing the income of cattle owners and farmers. This will be used to produce biogas as well as organic manure.
- Along with this, the target of distribution of livestock on the grant given to 40,000 beneficiaries in the Financial Year 2022-23, has been set to produce 85 lakh liters of milk per day.
- The government has announced that in this financial year a budgetary provision of 30 crores is proposed to build a cold house.
- A corpus of Rs 25 crore has been proposed in the fund to compensate for the economic losses in agricultural production.
- The Finance Minister said that the process of appointment of teachers to 1,363 vacant posts in higher and technical education is under process.
- The government said in the budget that it is in the process of creating all kinds of posts for 33 new degree/women's colleges.
- The government proposed to construct a degree college at Gola in Ramgarh district.
